This
bacteria fighting plastic suppresses the growth of bacteria, mold, fungus,
algae and mildew. The specially designed additives effectiveness lasts the
lifetime of the UHMWPE plastic. It is available in Sheet, Rod, Cutting Boards,
Extrusions and Coiled Lengths. From this special material POBCO can supply
Standard and Custom Bearings, Wear Strips, Chain Guides or most any Profiled
Shape. The standard color is White and other colors are available. Tests have
proven a noticeable decrease of common bacteria strains and fungus on treated
materials.
These Antimicrobial additives are
acceptable for use in and around Food Processing areas (Meat & Poultry).
The compound is registered under the NSF Non Food Compound Registration
Program, a continuation of the USDA product approval and listing program as
well as with the EPA.
